Press conference 11 October 2022 City of Montesilvano “It will be an edition to remember”

It’s all set in Montesilvano to kick off the European Futsal Championships: 16 men’s teams and 10 women’s teams, representing 20 nations, who will compete for the title of European champion. This is the most important European sporting event reserved for deaf athletes, there are 600 participants who will ignite their challenges simultaneously between Montesilvano, Città Sant’Angelo and Pescara.

The president of the organizing committee, Alessandro Bernardini is ready to open the event: “As a great supporter of sport, I am proud to be the president of the organization. Futsal, in the world of the deaf, is a very followed discipline and the teams are of high level. I thank all the institutions that have made it possible to organize this great event in which hundreds of athletes will participate”.

EDSO Futsal Technical Director Carlo Melfi: “It is an honor for us to collaborate with UEFA, which sent us six of their international referees. We are very satisfied with the organization; we are convinced that it will be an edition to remember.”
